What People Are Saying About Buying Electric Cars from Eco Cars

07 March 2014

"It's now approaching 2,000 miles of trouble-free motoring in our C-Zero, bought a few months back through (the very nice man) Jonathan from Eco-Cars. What a difference a battery makes! From the silence at start-up, to the smooth acceleration, surprisingly comfortable motorway cruising, easy handling and even easier parking, this car is a revolution. Charge it up overnight, and enjoy your driving experience all over again in the morning. So now you can actually hear your radio without any road or engine noise. You can keep up with swift city traffic, or indeed breeze past others on the motorway and they will barely hear you go by. As for 'range anxiety', it all depends on how far you need to go. Most of our journey's are well within a round trip of what we've found a typical charge will cover, about 70 miles. If you're relaxed and light on the pedals, you might get a whole lot more, but if it's cold, late at night with the lights on, air-con running and heating on the whole time, then be realistic and expect about half this, so plan ahead. Whatever you use your C-Zero for, it's a pleasure to drive, and if you prefer a similar stress free experience when buying one, then I would certainly recommend Jonathan. Polite, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about these and other cars like them. We liked ours so much, we decided to get another one! Bruno (Kent)"

Hi Jonathan Nissan Leaf sold Dec 2013 Had an exploratory drive yesterday, went to all the motorway services from here (Leicester) to South mimms on m25 (77 miles).  Was a bit epic.   155 miles. I’m regularly visiting LFE M1 services to charge up for free!  Once there was another Leaf charging and when he returned we had a good chat. Loving driving the leaf.   Another test run today after having carwings fixed at Nissan Leicester. Did LFE services to Toddington @ 56mph on one charge (not quite enough to reach S Mimms on M25 sadly) Toddington to Watford gap at 70mph (77 on speedo but 70mph by my satnav) Watford gap to LFE services @ 90mph with plenty of range left. Loads of fun driving.

Hi Jonathan I bought a Vauxhall Astra from you in 2005 and it has been absolutely fantastic. My family and I have just moved to Australia and I love my car so much that I shipped it over as well! So very pleased to see that Eco Cars is still going strong, after all these years. Thank you for my wonderful car! With very best wishes from Sydney, Peta Powrie and family

"Jonathan provided an excellent service, quickly locating a hybrid car matching the specification and budget assigned in Oct 2011. All communications, search management and sales process was conducted smoothly and professionally. My questions were answered in a friendly and efficient manner. It was a pleasure to do business with Jonathan, and I would recommend him to any company or individual looking for service or advice in the fast growing area of green and sustainable fleet."

I purchased a Bi-Fuel Volvo S60 from Eco-Cars in October 2010 and what a car! Don’t ever worry about buying a Bi-Fuel or LPG car or buying one from Jonathan. This car is fantastic and the service I’ve always received from Jonathan has been fantastic. When I bought the car it had done just short of 80,000 miles and has now done just over 120,000 (2 and a half years later). I have it serviced every 10,000 miles and the LPG element every 20,000 miles by a local garage who specialise in LPG (and even they comment on how lovely the car is every time they service it) and it’s marvellous to be paying half price for the fuel. This may sound trivial, but what amazes me is that the oil in the car engine is as gold when it goes for its next service as it is when you first pour it in, which suggests to me that LPG puts less strain on your engine. The car does between 17 and 28 miles per gallon, dependant on how heavy my right foot is with the lovely 2.5 litre engine, but when you’re paying half price for yor fuel that’s like 34 to 56 mpg in a normal car. In 30 years of motoring I would go as far as to say this is the nicest car I’ve ever had, for comfort, power and best of all … economy! If you’re worried about changing to LPG, don’t be and when you’re buying from Jonathan, you can rest even easier that you’re in good hands. Many Thanks & Best Regards

Good morning Jonathan Just to let you know we picked up the car from Fairwater Garage yesterday and Penny drove it home successfully on gas and it behaved perfectly. So many thanks for arranging that and we are so sorry you were involved in the expense. But that aside, we are very pleased with the car, which is now known as Mr Woo from his numberplate (WU). We are now looking forward to many miles of eco - nomical motoring on LPG.

18/02/13 Hi, Jonathan thank you so much for all your help over the phone and when I came to view the car was amazed and shocked at how nice buying a car can be(was as descried in listing/video etc..),i was new to lpg and had no idea at all but you explained everything and showed me everything about running on lpg in my eyes you went above and beyond any other car sales person i have been to before, and from what i can see u put together a fantastic package so i can have happy trouble free motoring, i am looking forward to collecting the car later this week and will post/review again after collection/1 week of driving, i would highly recommend you to any one looking to buy a lpg/eco car think the web page is great already been telling friends etc about my experience, thanks again.

Hi Jonathan Please find attached (at last) the fuel consumption sheet for 2012, as promised. The Astra keeps on going faithfully, even through the recent now. I am just passed 196k miles now, and since my last update I have had to replace.......nothing. Still completely reliable even at a temperature of -12C last week. OK the LPG took a while to kick in, but that was to be expected. As you will see from the spreadsheet, the car has now saved me over £8,300 over using petrol, and the figure for the equivalent petrol usage since owning the Astra is truly frightening at £26,680.75 On the LPG front, East Anglia is back to usual now, with the refurbishment of Thickthorn services on the outskirts of Norwich completed, it is now a Shell garage rather than Total, the A14 services refurbishment is complete at Newmarket, and there is a gas pump now at the Anglia Peugeot centre on the Norwich / Ipswich road. Still no reason or intent to change the Astra in the neatr future, so the next milestone I can forsee is 250,000 miles! Internally, the engine is as clean as when I got it due to the LPG being such a clean fuel, so LONG LIVE LPG!!! Happy motoring Chris Maloney Senior Building Services Engineer

what people are saying

05/08/18 Excellent service from Eco cars. From an initial quick Facebook message it took no time for Jonathan to find the car we were looking for. He was completely open an honest about where the car was coming from, the condition it was in and most importantly pricing. No need to haggle like a normal used car salesman just here's what it costs and why. Car was delivered by James and was exactly as advertised. James was also very knowledgeable and walked us through all the features of the car to make sure we were happy. Would recommend Eco cars to anyone, wish I had known about them before buying my first EV
